Saranjit Birdi - Artist and Architect
  Introduction

This page shows collaborative and solo work using the media of film, video and live performances. I have been a jazz percussionist since 1984 and have performed, choreographed and taught Jazz-funk and Contemporary dance in various capacities since 1982. As an artist my aim is to find the physical and psychological connections through which dance and music can ‘converse’ with architecture and experience a total synthesis of forms. I find the film media is most suited to this kind of ‘dialogue’ and creative fusion. I also enjoy the spontaneity and energy flow of improvisation.
