Project: Gallery in the Trees project 'Passions'

This piece made of steel oil drums, car body work, steel and granite was a proposal for Northfield district, Birmingham, located outside the Rover works at Longbridge.

As a gateway sculpture it heralded the importance of the Car Industry in the Midlands and the passions surrounding the economic contribution the Rover group has made to the area.

I was encouraged by the local MP for Northfield, Mr Burden, to instigate dialogue with Birmingham City Council Planning Department to consider this sculpture in the the re-development of Northfield Centre.
